Another very important field of Ormig's production is covered by the lattice boom cranes. Towards end of '50 years was fabricated the first crane equipped with lattice boom, providing 360 degrees rotation and mechanical outriggers: the model 10tg with 70 tonnes capacity. One of the most interesting crane of this type was the 200tg, 16 tonnes capacity, equipped with "elbow joint" outriggers, a very new fitting which came out as another Ormig patent.
The system consists of a kinematics design which gives a tensile and compressive stress only to the beams of connection between frame and outriggers plates; it assures a remarkable rigidity of the structure.
Afterwards, cranes having capacity from 35 up to 80 tonnes were manufactured; the model 50tg - 50 tonnes capacity, 60 m-long boom - met a great interest.

An hydraulic kinematics system, under Ormig patent, was an innovating project in these cranes. It allowed the boom raising in a perfect balanced way being the stress given to the lifting ropes equal. An important feature of such cranes was one cab only offering central controls position thus allowing the use of just one operator either for the crane work or travel. These types of cranes shared the industrial development of those years in the building up of very important factories.
At the beginning of '70 years two new models were available for Ports and big assemblies works: model 1200tg, 100 tonnes capacity, 72-m-long boom and 5 axles carrier, crane mentioned in the Italian Enciclopaedia Treccani as example of vehicle for site operation, and model 1750tg, 150 tonnes capacity, 94-m-long and 6 axles carrier.
Such crane improvements led to the Harbour Mobile Cranes for loading/unloading from vessels of containers, bulk cargo. etc., still under production.
The model which is meeting the best interest is 4535PTM having a capacity of 45 tonnes at 35 m outreach.
At beginning of '90 years Ormig have also manufactured a lattice boom crane with 200 tonnes capacity, model 2006TR.
