Ormig was founded in 1949 by Guido Testore who understood that itailan post-war activities were going to need several equipment; the "crane", already known in USA but almost unknown in Europe, could become a large spreading vehicle.
Just few skilled technicians were able to change the work force, mainly of agrarian type, into high specialized mechaniciens capable of manufacturing a product which was a boast of the italian industry and exported all over the world.

The manufacturing process started in the old factory of 13,500 sqm. located in Ovada town center and twenfive years later moved to the actual plant of 100,000 sqm. including 48,000 sqm under covered area.

Ormig, like most of the italian industries of post-war, have come out from the fantasy and courage of a man of genius and have grown thanks to the care of many men who believed in the country revival after the world conflict and have worked together for what is universally known as the "italian miracle'.

Fifty years of experience and a continous products improvement have made this Company among the most reliable ones in the lifting and handling field, in position to supply high quality and technologically advanced machinery.
The Ormig Company is still managed by the family of the founder.
